Jerome and Queenesha met in church when she was 9 and he was 16. They were friendly through the years until they reconnected and tied the knot. Jerome feels that by staying married to Queenesha, he is holding her back from really growing into the woman she has the potential to be. He feels she lacks focus and direction in her life and is not being a proper mother to their daughter. Queenesha says that Jerome is quite controlling as well as verbally abusive. Jerome treats her like a little girl, always belittling her and putting her down. She didn’t envision being married would turn out like this.
