“It’s very difficult to make a deal when a couple’s breaking up because there’s a lack of trust and communication and respect. But because of the public scrutiny here on this couple being so high profile, they’re really forced to put aside those differences and work at a very rapid pace with their attorneys and accountants to settle things, because the longer it goes on, the kind of messier it gets. I imagine this couple had a premarital agreement and that’s also going to make things a lot easier. My suspicion is each just kept their own property and it was really just about agreeing on how they’re going to share time with the kids and dividing up property that they have together like that Florida mansion.”

STORYLINE:
Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen have finalized their divorce, they announced Friday, ending the 13-year marriage between two superstars who respectively reached the pinnacles of fashion and football.
Divorce documents were filed Friday in Glades County, Florida, a rural location near Lake Okeechobee, according to the court docket. It cites only that the marriage was “irretrievably broken” with no other details. Other documents are sealed and confidential.
“It’s excellent that this couple has found a way to settle their differences quickly and quietly,” said divorce attorney Chris Melcher. “Divorce does not have to be some messy public court battle. And especially for them, because had they gone to court, it would have aired out all of these details in public.”
Brady and Bündchen posted statements Friday morning on Instagram, each saying they had “amicably” reached the decision.
Both said their priorities lay with their children and asked for privacy.
