Angelina Jolie Gets Judge Dismissed in Brad Pitt Divorce Case.
The California judge Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt chose to oversee their divorce and custody case failed to disclose certain involvements with Pitt’s counsel and must be disqualified, a state appellate court said Friday.
Jolie and Pitt chose retired Judge John W.
Ouderkirk, who had officiated their wedding, to hear their case as a privately compensated, temporary judge.
In 2016, when Jolie filed for dissolution of their marriage, Ouderkirk made disclosures regarding matters in which he was involved, and in which counsel for either Jolie or Pitt also served.
He made further disclosures in 2018, the year a judgment was entered for custody of Jolie and Pitt’s children.

A judgment for dissolution of marriage was entered in April 2020, and in June of that year, Pitt filed a request for an order seeking to change the custody and visitation provisions.
