Divorce.
A word that pretty much sums up a part of my life, that I never wanted to be part of my story. In fact, my original testimony on my channel is entitled , ‘I Begged God to Save My Marriage and What He Did Shocked Me’ explains my situation just perfectly. I certainly did beg God to save my marriage, but to my PLEASANT surprise, I am so thankful to God that He did NOT save my marriage.
My original testimony on my channel, ‘I Begged God to Save My Marriage and What He Did Shocked Me” gives a brief overview of my divorce story. However, there were so many more details on how God specifically led, guided, and encouraged me through this painful time in my life.
In this video, I talk more transparently on the details of not just my first marriage, but the spiritual principles behind my divorce. As people watch my story unfold, I hope and pray that my story will help more people understand God’s heart on divorce AND God’s heart on very ungodly marriages. God hates sinful marriages more then he hates divorce. God is not a legalistic God. Let’s not forget that!
I understand that there are many people who will judge those who are divorced, but I know God has given me this unique story and has led me to share my life transparently with you, to give an example of how we should each judge according to the fruit of someone’s life, before quickly judging others and chalking it up with “God hates divorce”. I think its also important to mention that we must take ALL scripture into account when studying any subject; not just one scripture. ALL scripture is God breathed an is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness (2 Tim 3:16).
