Marriage is often considered a sacred bond and a commitment for a lifetime. But for many, it can be just a different story filled with sorrow, mental trauma and a long fight for justice.
In this Josh Talk, Priya Yadav shares her journey of coming out from a marriage that turned out exactly opposite to what anyone would expect. Priya married the love of her life, but soon after the marriage, she realised that her husband and in-laws are not entirely what they appeared before marriage. Priya talks about the struggles she had to face right after her marriage where she was often taunted for not giving dowry and fulfilling the expectations of her in-laws. She shared about the experience she had to face when her first child was born and how she walked out of the marriage. Today, Priya is a single mother and also works as a social worker to uplift awareness of women. This talk will inspire all women to never give up and also highlights the value of financial independence.
