Jermall Charlo has been missing in action since 2021 after defeating Juan Montiel in a 12 unanimous decision.
He was scheduled to fight Maceij Sulecki in the summer of 2021, but the fight got cancelled.
Since appearing on the I Am Athlete Podcast with his brother, Jermell Charlo. It doesn’t seem like Jermall will be entering the ring anytime soon.
Jermall Charlo started crying, saying he’s going through problems, that’s why he hasn’t been in the ring.
But his brother, Jermell Charlo, who is currently the undisputed Jr. Middleweight Champion of the world, brought up the fact that Jermall Charlo has been out of the ring for 2 years.
Jermall Charlo got offended that his brother brought that up. Jermell said that he’s heartless and he reminded everyone that he’s been through it all himself… so that’s no excuse.
Jermell reiterated, I went and got’em. That’s what I did.
Jermall said to his brother, “You don’t think I want to go get all these belts?”
Jermall Charlo let it be known that by his brother being the undisputed champion, he feels that he’s undisputed as well.
Why, because he’s cool with his brother being the ultimate champion because it makes him feel like he’s one as well.
It’s obvious, the Charlo brothers are cut from a different cloth. Now I know Jermall is going through a divorce, but dam.
People go through sh*t everyday, and if he’s not mentally or physically able to fight… then why does he still have the WBC title?
Let Jermall Charlo handle whatever’s going on in his personal life, and allow other fighters to fight for the title. make him a champion in recess.
Even though I already know the answer to that question. The fact still remains the same.
Mauricio Sulaiman is full of sh*t. The once glamour division has been reduced to dog sh*t in my opinion.
So the question still remains the same.
After 15 years of being a professional fighter, and a 2 year layoff, will Jermall Charlo be able to unify the Middleweight Division and become undisputed?
Let’s look at the Middleweight division, to see the path Jermall will have to go down, in order to become the Undisputed Champion in the Middleweight Division.
