Retail Sales’ core numbers continue to trend upward, refuting calls for economic downturn. Pay attention to retailers at the lower end of economic spectrum for clues as to how consumers are really faring. The Debt Ceiling Debate: Will we really default? have we ever had a Debt Ceiling Disaster? No. Government spending = 8% of GDP. Hyberbole is worse than reality, but results in investors doing the wrong thing with money.
